Creating packaging that makes a seasonal brand visible all year

Zeel, India’s biggest rainwear brand, peaks during the monsoon but fades through the rest of the year. We wondered if reusable packaging could solve this, so the brand would stay with consumers long after the rains were gone.

We took our sketches into prototyping, experimenting with the raincoat material and co-creating stitched mockups with the Zeel team before refining the final design.

We polished the concepts and arrived at three distinct packaging solutions, each designed for a different price tier and consumer need.

We also created a custom illustration for the packaging, inspired by the unstoppable spirit of city commuters.

To excite kids and their parents, we introduced an innovative drop shaped bag with illustrations straight out of a child’s world.

We then launched a new range of kids’ raincoats using Hydro-printing technology, which, in their world, felt like raincoats with magical powers.

These raincoats looked plain at first, but the moment they came in contact with water, magical illustrations appeared. Each illustration was inspired by the everyday world of kids and reflected all that they would interact with when stepping out on a rainy day.

Adding to the excitement, every raincoat came with a pocket sized storybook. It told the tale of two siblings and their adventures with the Drizzle Dazzle Raincoat, giving kids another reason to step out and explore their imagination.
